CrossFit is fitness that prepares you for life. Of course it prepares you for the physical challenges that you may encounter but never expect over the course of your life. But CrossFit prepares for life in other ways that you would never encounter in a globo-gym. CrossFit empowers you to be mentally strong in all situations. To suffer through a few moments of discomfort for a greater reward at the end. To persevere and to attack life with everything you have. CrossFit teaches you to support others and to be supported by others; to know when to fight it out on your own and when to ask for help.
Melissa Joulwan, former Texas Rollergirl and CrossFitter sums it up best (courtesy of the CrossFit Journa)l, "when the alarm sounded each morning at the appointed time, I literally said, “3-2-1... Go!” and started my Life WOD.
To get you Life WOD started, it is important that you complete On Ramp. On Ramp is a three day class that meets Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and is meant to introduce new members to the basic movements we use in almost every WOD. This class is both for the safety of all of our members as well as to be fair to all. For example, if a new member who is not familiar with the basic movements of CrossFit joins an already experienced group, it is not only dangerous, but unfair to the more experienced members that they must wait to start their WOD while the instructor teaches the movements to the new member. This is not in practice with CrossFit's mantra of "mechanics, consistency, intensity." It is important to us that members learn the mechanics correctly, that they can apply them consistently, and THEN add intensity.

This means completion of an On Ramp course either at CrossFit Temecula South or another CrossFit affiliate. If you have completed On Ramp at another affiliate, you must contact Anneke at firstname.lastname@example.org to have her clear your athlete profile.
